At Poliquin Hearing Center, we care about you and your hearing. It is our mission to improve quality of life for the hard of hearing by removing barriers to communication, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves, and providing hearing instruments and rehabilitation programs which maximize communication potential. In short, we want to help you make the most of the hearing you have.
We strive to provide the best possible service while using the most advanced technology for our patients. Poliquin Hearing Center aims to provide a comfortable, friendly atmosphere where patients are free to talk about their hearing health issues with people that will listen.
With a history as a family business, Poliquin Hearing Center was established in 1971 by Guildo Poliquin, who had been a hearing instrument specialist since 1955, and his son Gil, a graduate of Nasson College in Springvale, Maine. Gil's exposure to his father's work captured his attention instilling a desire to provide hearing healthcare services. Gil has gone on to achieving National Board Certification in both Hearing Instrument Sciences and Opticianry. He has also served on the Licensing Board for Hearing Aid Dealers since 1995 and has served as Chairperson of the Speech and Hearing Board. And the family tradition continues, serving Central and Western Maine for more than 45 years.
Gil Poliquin is Board Certified by the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences and a Certified Optician by the American Board of Opticianry.
